Prairie Land Machining is a family business, owned by
Jerry and Penny Arthur, and located in Shelbyville, in
downstate Illinois.

Jerry started his career as a machinist in 1994, working for
Shelby Tool & Die.

In 2011, Prairie Land Machining was born.

Jerry and his partners saw the need for a machine shop with State of the Art Equipment to make machining more efficient.  The location - 813 W. S 5th Street, Shelbyville is close to the manufacturers who would become the customers.

PLM purchased Shelby Tool and Die accounts in 2016.

Jerry and his team can take a blueprint, a sketch or an idea and bring it to life, and they can replace almost any metal or plastic part on almost any machine with their combined skills and experience.

Customers appreciate the quality work and quick turnaround times that PLM delivers, plus the personal relationships that come from working with the owner of the company.
